…Saklikar invokes the complexities and ironies rooted in our past, particularly in poems about/set in Paldi, BC (near Duncan), where Inderjit Singh Reyat tested explosives. Saklikar reminds us, too, that the Air India bombing is no isolated event, but one of too many atrocities that litter our history (see for instance “C-A-N-A-D-A: in the after-time, always, there is also the before—”)…
